VANGELIS Spiral

The Yamaha CS-80 had arrived by the recording of this 1977 album, the instrument that is most associated with Vangelis. The third of the RCA albums, it has one of the coolest covers I've ever seen. IMHO, Vangelis improved with each passing RCA title. For the collectors and fans, RCA released the single "To the Unknown Man" with a non-album cut, "To the Unknown Man part 2". Unfortunately for the folks in the USA, this non-album track was not on the USA 7".  On the USA single, part 2 is simply the end section of this lengthy track that fades in at the beginning. The singles are the most interesting items to find from the collector's perspective, with some different covers available. The standard LP price is again low ($8-$10), which can certainly be found at much lower prices if you seek them out.
