VANGELIS Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell (1975) announced the arrival of Vangelis on the shores of England and the beginning of the Nemo Studio years. Vangelis truly became an international artist with his first album on the RCA label. It charted in England and resulted in a wonderful concert at the Royal Albert Hall. The album featured big keyboards, thundering percussion, choral swells...it truly reminds me of Mythodea in approach. For collectors, it seems incredible that more singles were not released to promote the album. "So Long Ago, So Clear" (with Jon Anderson on vocals) seems like a natural for single release. Collectors would have to wait for Cosmos to come out for singles taken from this album. If you are interested in seeing those singles, you'll need to go to the Cosmos section. As far as value, most LPs have relatively low value ($8-$10). The major rarity here is the Vangelis Radio Special LP that was issued in the USA to promote the album. It would sell easily for $100+ these days.
