An exciting event on its own, it became more interesting to Vangelis collectors when it was learned that Vangelis would provide the official anthem to the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The scope is big when you consider that the event is the most watched sporrting event in the world. Sony has made things very interesting for collectors. There is the worldwide release titled The Official Album of the 2002 FIFA World Cup (also titled Fever Pitch in some countries). There are two versions of "Anthem" on every release of this album in every country, the JS Radio Edit and the Orchestral Version with Choral Introduction. Having said that, there are probably at least 20+ variations of the album itself, with the track list differing from country to country. In the Asian countries, there is a second release titled 2002 FIFA World Cup Songs of Korea/Japan. On every release of this album (in those countries that have it) is the Takkyu Ishino remix on "Anthem". In order to be complete with this page, I have copied all the information about the "Anthem" single onto this page as well.
