Vangelis' first album under his new Polydor contract, China is a winner! I still remember being a teenager and seeing the Lynx commercial on television, using Chung Kuo as background music. There are some nice promos from this album, and a single with a non-album B-side, "The Long March Part 2" with a vocal track provided by The Children of Orleons Infant School Twickenham, proceeds going to UNICEF. The major rarity from this album release is the German (or is it Dutch?) promo LP. It is a genuine gem, with a beautiful book inside with text and pictures quite exclusive to it.
