To wrap up his involvement with RCA, the company released Vangelis' very first compilation album. I decided to separate this compilation from the others on "The Hits" page because it was the first and holds a special place because of that. It was not released to capitalized on the success of another album (like Chariots of Fire). This album marked the end of his working relationship with RCA, a wonderful time period in his life, but (as culled from interviews in this time period) continued to serve as fuel in Vangelis' distrust of record companies to properly promote his works. After Chariots of Fire, RCA/BMG would release numerous collections from this era. There is not much here for collectors, although there are a ew cover variations. Again, this LP should not cost more than around $8-$10, and can probably be found cheaper.
