Up until January 2006, Tammy has found herself sent to the Cover Versions section of this website. You see, Tammy is a Greek female singer from the 1960s, well known to the Greek music scene of that time, and known to have performed a cover version of "Rain and Tears" after Vangelis, Demis and Lucas left Greece and landed in France to become famous as Aphrodite's Child. However, thanks to the detective work of Andreas Rallis, we can now fully consider Tammy to be on the inside, a collaborator with Vangelis himself! Here we have a single released on the Pan-Vox label, "It Tears Me Up/Heart of a Child", English-language tracks performed with "Vag. Papathanassiou and his Orchestra"! Now, we can only speculate as to who the orchestra is, but if we apply what we know about other releases (Romanos and Vilma Lado for instance), then we can predict that this is indeed Demis Roussos, Lucas Sideras and Angel Koulouris. As of this writing, I have not personally heard these tunes! So now comes the hard part...finding a copy to own!
