Vangelis rocks! Socrates is a very well-known band in the progressive rock circles, and their earliest records command very high prices. Even an original of the Phos album should set you back around $125. Vangelis produced and performed on this album with the Greek band in 1976. "Heaven and Hell" it ain't. There are some spacey moments on this album, like "Every Dream Comes To An End", but Socrates always rocked hard, and this is evidenced in such songs as "Killer" and the opening track, "Starvation". There is a 7" single of "Starvation/Queen of the Universe" (Vertigo 6032 903) but I have not found it yet! It is suggested that Mariangela sings backup on one track, "A Day In Heaven", another mellow track. Again, note that the album is released on Vertigo, so there will be a price markup on these albums.
