Dennis Lodewijks was on a researching mission recently and located this missing gem that has been buried since 1970! Raymond Lefevre et Son Grand Orchestre had the pleasure of performing an original Vangelis composition that has been lost with time. The track is titled "Stephanie" and was the theme for the 1970 Rose d'Or. It is found on this album, Concerto Pour une Voix.... What a strange track. It does not sound very Vangelis-like, although maybe it is just the way it is arranged. To make matters more puzzling, I recently found the Japanese issue of this LP, and it has a small text about the "Stephanie" track (in Japanese, but thanks to Seiya Hirano, I have a translation!). The translation of these notes claim that "Stephanie" was originally an Aphrodite's Child song re-arranged by Raymond for this album! Well, I'm pretty sure I never heard of an Aphrodite's Child song called "Stepanie", and listening again to the track, it does not sound like any other Aphrodite's Child track I know of! So we have a new mystery...where is the original Aphrodite's Child track called "Stephanie"?
