In 2002, Sony Classical released this compilation album by Kathleen Battle, titled Classic Kathleen Battle - A Portrait. Thankfully, it was decided to add a track off of Vangelis' Mythodea album, "Movement IX", which Ms. Battle performed along with Jessye Norman. The CD is starting to see worldwide release, and serves as a testiment to her popularity. I think Vangelis was quite fortunate to have her talents for his Mythodea project, and it is nice to see that Sony Classical thought the track was worthy of inclusion on this new CD.
