I remember like it was yesterday, sitting in a mostly-empty movie theater. I was 16 years old. My mind was filled with ambience like I had never known before. The experience haunted me for a long, long time. It helped shape how I spend my leisure time. Such a profound effect that one movie can have! But more than anything, it was the music! I have high hopes for the Special Edition that is planned for late 2002 (or perhaps 2003). The additional footage and possible isolated music score are like a dream come true. As it stands, there are three commercially-available versions available to the general public, plus one other version floating around that was made from a camcorder, a taping of the famous "workprint" version. The three versions include the Theatrical Version, the European Cut (with added violence), and the Director's Cut. In the USA, the only version currently available is the Director's Cut, therefore, the other versions are selling quite high on ebay.
