For their second release on Polydor in 1981, Jon Anderson and Vangelis paid hommage to the old Hollywood movies with "The Friends of Mr. Cairo". This 6 song version was the perfect pop album. Polydor put some interesting promos out for this release, including the famous blue film can that houses a 12" single of the title track. The album did fairly well worldwide, but after Chariots of Fire became successful, Polydor would re-release this album and add a seventh song. To learn more about that, you'll have to click here. Interesting to note that the six song version would go out of print everywhere in the world after the seven song version came out...everywhere except Japan, where even the CD issue is the six song version, so that is one you'll want to find.
