Vangelis and Demis worked together again in 1981, and the result was this 1982 release, Demis. Vangelis did not work on this entire album, only on three tracks: "Lament", "Song for the Free" and "Race To the End", a vocal version based on the Chariots of Fire main theme. Lyrics for the tracks were provided by Jon Anderson. Demis also performed these in three different languages: English, French and Spanish, and LP versions exist to cover the three languages. The CD of this album is extremely rare and difficult to find. There is no leigitmate version on CD in print at the moment. The CD has sold in the $40-$50 range. It was one of the more difficult CDs for me to find! [Thanks to Roland Weißflog for the info and scan of the Irish 7" of "Race To the End"].
