I think this may be my favorite of the Greek 60s films that Vangelis was associated with, and might be one of my favorite Greek films...probably for all the wrong reasons! I can't help it.  I'm a sucker for a simple story that makes you dream about faraway places.  The 1968 film plays like a promo for a Greek travel agency.  A simple love story: handsome prince visiting from a foreign country falls for beautiful Greek tour guide.  Elena Nathanail plays the beautiful tour guide.  She looks amazing, especially when she lets her hair down (Sadly, she passed away in 2008).  He sneaks away from his handlers and they visit many amazing sites, and she changes her wardrobe with each new scene.  The movie plays like a dream and is very sweet.  Vangelis does not do the score-Yiannis Markopoulos takes care of that, but Vangelis does one song for the movie: "Summer Dream" (vocal and instrumental versions) which is incorporated into the film in a musical sequence.  The original version of this song has never been released, although it was recently covered by Agni.  Up until 2009, the movie was not available in a commercial way, although recordings from Greek TV have been circulating.  However, there was a recent DVD pressing as a giveaway with the purchase of a Greek magazine, so that makes it a Vangelis collectible!
